This program builds on conventional Controllership expertise, going well beyond the technical accounting and financial topics Controllers already understand. This leadership program focuses on developing the skills needed to advance your career by applying cutting-edge thinking to contemporary business and organizational challenges.

Unlike most professional leadership development programs, the Corporate Controllership Program draws on an active learning process with practical applications. Participants engage in a dynamic, hands-on learning process, lead by esteemed facilitators who are experts in their field. Participants will analyze and play out business cases, as well as utilize the power of simulations and self-assessment tools to challenge and stimulate personal and professional leadership development.

Facilities

Due to the intensive schedule for this program, participants are required to stay in-residence for the duration of the program. The Institute will make your room reservation on your behalf. Information, map and detailed rates are provided upon registration.

Pre-Course Material

Advanced preparation consists of reading, casework and/or exercises. Pre-course material is forwarded approximately one month before the program.

Pricing

Program Fee $5,400 plus 5% GST. Meals and accommodation are additional and will be at the participant’s expense.  The nightly rate at Dunsmuir Lodge (including accommodation and 3 meals per day) will be approximately $230.  (For information on accommodation pricing for Banff offerings, please contact the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta at m.education@icaa.ab.ca).
