BUCK, Gregory GREGORY BUCK, BCOMM, CA, has been in public practice for 26 years specializing in owner managed and professional business. He has extensive experience in small to medium businesses from a practical standpoint. Greg has lectured extensively at UCFV in the Business Computing and Business Administration departments. Greg has authored three textbooks on the subject of computerized accounting and the use of computers in business.
CROFT, Patricia Patricia Croft, BA, is the chief economist at Phillips, Hager & North and a member of the firm's Asset Mix Committee. She is also the chief economist for RBC Global Asset Management, which is the investment management arm of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Phillips, Hager & North and two other respected and affiliated asset managers. Prior to joining PH&N in early 2004, she was chief economist, asset mix chairperson and a managing director at another leading investment management firm. Previously, she held economist positions at two major investment dealers and was the chief economist at a major Canadian bank.
DUBÉ, J. Paul Mr. Paul Dubé has been named by Order in Council as Canada's first Taxpayer's Ombudsman for a three-year term. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Dubé, who resides in Ottawa, had been working since 2006 as Legal Counsel for the Ottawa Criminal Law Office, which is a Public Defender Pilot Project of Legal Aid Ontario. During 13 years of private law practice in New Brunswick, Mr. Dubé was involved in several high-profile homicide and narcotics cases as defense counsel. Mr. Dubé gained a reputation as an effective advocate for all people especially the economically disadvantaged. Mr. Dubé has demonstrated a career-long commitment to procedural fairness and protection of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. In fact, his specialty as a lawyer has been defending people's Charter rights.
DUHOLKE, Tim TIM DUHOLKE, FCA, has practiced tax exclusively for over 25 years and is a Senior Tax Advisor at Davis LLP. He specializes in advising professional firms and entrepreneurs on a broad range of taxation and related matters. His practice includes public and private companies in various industries. Tim has a special interest in the area of estate planning.
DYMOND, Shaun SHAUN DYMOND, CA, is a Manager of Product Management at HSBC Global Asset Management in Vancouver where he has been involved with implementing and updating their registered plans. Prior to that, Shaun worked for ten years in personal and corporate income tax in Canada and New Zealand.
EYOLFSON, Todd TODD EYOLFSON, BMath, CGA, joined CaseWare International Inc. in 1996. Currently CaseWare’s Director of Education, Todd has managed support, been involved with sales, marketing, and education. Todd writes training material and has instructed thousands of professional accountants across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Grand Cayman, Iceland, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates on CaseWare applications.
GUNDERSON, Terry TERRY GUNDERSON, B.COMM., CA, CFP, is a partner with Manning Elliott LLP. Terry has more than 33 years of financial accounting and tax experience, which ranges from advising small business clients with compilation and review engagements to auditing non-profit organizations’ financial statements. He has been part of Manning Elliott LLP’s Quality Control committee and acted as monitor leader for the firm’s quality monitoring program for several years.
HOPE, Margaret MARGARET HOPE, M.ED., has been providing ICABC education programs since 1988. She has a Masters Degree in Education, is an Internationally Accredited Professional Speaker – one of fewer than 65 speakers ever accredited worldwide, and the author of You’re Speaking – But Are You Connecting? Margaret is an Adjunct Professor at SFU, teaches at UBC and for a variety of businesses and corporations.
JOG, Dr. Vijay DR. VIJAY JOG is the President of Corporate Renaissance Group (CRG) and the Chancellor Professor of Finance at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. He consults extensively to many government departments, crown corporations, and private sector firms in assisting them to achieve breakthrough performance. He is the author of textbooks, has published numerous articles in international journals, and has won many national and international awards for his publications.
KELL, Rob ROB KELL, CA, is a sole practitioner based in Richmond. Rob provides accounting and business advice to private companies. He is a member of the ICABC Professional Development Audit and Accounting Program Advisory Group.
KENT, Duncan DUNCAN KENT, BA, MA, has been a professional technical writer and documentation consultant for almost 30 years. Duncan is a founding member and past President of the Canada West Coast chapter of the Society for Technical Communication, and teaches technical and business writing at SFU’s Writing and Publishing Program.
KUZNETSOVA, Olga OLGA KUZNETSOVA is an audit manager in KPMG’s GVA Mining Industry practice. She specializes on working with clients in mining and is actively involved in work on IFRS transition projects with audit and non-audit clients in mining industry. Olga is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK.
KWAN, Jimmy JIMMY KWAN, CA, CFA, AHKSA, B.Com., is Tax Senior Manager at Manning Elliott LLP. His areas of expertise are corporate reorganizations, estate planning, post-mortem planning and succession planning. Jimmy also researches various tax issues and strategies, and assists clients in dealing with various tax authorities. He is a volunteer member of the ICABC Tax Forum, and writes articles for Beyond Numbers.

LAWRITSEN, Scott SCOTT LAWRITSEN, MA, MBA, CBV, CFA, is a Partner, Business Valuations Litigation, of Meyers Norris Penny LLP Chartered Accountants., where he leads the business valuation and litigation support practice. He has completed numerous litigation related engagements and has been qualified to testify before the Court of Queen’s Bench for Alberta. He has more than 15 years experience in corporate finance and valuations and is involved in preparing business valuations and valuation related advisory assignments, consulting on mergers and acquisitions as well as the completion of financial models and pricing analysis.
LEGG, Alex ALEX LEGG is a senior manager in the Deloitte Vancouver Global Employer Services practice. He has worked in international tax for over 12 years. Alex was based in London, UK for over 10 years, during which time he advised a number of multinationals on a broad range of expatriate issues. In particular, Alex has worked with a number of companies identifying tax and other issues associated with the implementation of global share plans and all areas of cross border movement.
MCDONALD, Diane DIANE MCDONALD, CA, has been in public practice for over 25 years. She has assisted many Canadian companies with initial and continuing Canadian and SEC financial reporting obligations, and provided accounting and financial reporting consultation services on matters of Canadian and U.S. GAAP to management and auditors.

Prior to joining MDA Training, he was a manager in Ernst & Young’s business risk consulting practice where he was heavily involved in the development and delivery of financial training.
POWER, Mary MARY POWER, CA, is principal of M.V. Power Inc., and has over 21 years of experience exclusively in taxation. She has published papers in taxation, has spoken at the BC Tax Conference and has been teaching taxation courses since 1982.
RAO, Erin ERIN RAO, CA, is a contractor and currently works with the CA School of Business. Erin developed and wrote an IFRSs Tutorial for CASB students and has been developing and preparing IFRSs training courses for CASB facilitators and students. Prior to this, Erin was a Vice President, Group Finance, at the International Headquarters of ABN AMRO Bank in Amsterdam, and was a project manager in a global team responsible for implementing IFRSs. As part of that project, Erin led two financial system conversions, developed training material and taught finance and operations staff worldwide about IFRSs.
RAO, Jyothi JYOTHI RAO, CGA, is a Manager in the Global Employer Services group at Deloitte in Vancouver. She has over eight years of Canadian public practice experience in cross border personal tax issues. For the past couple of years Jyothi has been specializing in the area of U.S. estate and gift taxes for Canadians who are either U.S. citizens or U.S. non resident aliens. Jyothi is also a Chartered Accountant from India with public practice and industry experience.

SEYCHUK, Allan With over 12 years experience in analyzing global macro trends and generating forecasts, Allan Seychuk is PH&N’s point person for all issues relating to the Canadian, US and global economies. In addition to giving regular presentations to clients and external groups, Allan is also part of the asset mix and investment strategy committees with RBC Asset Management and generates the company’s quarterly economic overview. Allan is also part of PH&N’s Institutional portfolio management and client service teams. Prior to joining Phillips, Hager & North, Allan worked as an economist with RBC Financial Group, where he covered the North American, European and Pacific economies, emerging markets, Canadian provinces and Canadian housing markets. Allan holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto, attended Queen’s University for undergraduate studies, and became a CFA Charter Holder in 2004.
